A USB cable connects our Rapid Recovery device to the workstation HMI or computer. It has 3 NVMe disks that store the data configuration and perform backups of the OS, drivers, configurations, and data files.
In case of a cyberattack or system failure, restart your computer and then choose the option to boot from the rapid recovery device.
Our Air-Gap Technology Patented Innovation
At any given moment, only one backup disk is accessible to the computer receiving electrical voltage; the other two disks are in a full air-gapped mode, hence isolated from any external or internal control.
The Salvador backup utility will transfer your first backup to the Rapid Recovery device’s NVMe Factory Reset disk during installation. When you complete the backup, the disk will enter a permanent air-gapped state, representing the factory reset or baseline version of the system. This baseline is the operational state of the computer, fully configured, and it includes the OS, configurations, licenses, etc. – the only difference is how old the data is to ensure there is no dormant malware inside.
The software agent will constantly update the NVMe-Current and NVMe-Previous disks according to the selected frequency.
